F. William Hessmer, IV is a
founding partner of Thomason and Hessmer, LLC.
He is a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College and the Washington
College of Law, American University. Mr.
Hessmer's legal practice focuses on estate planning, international estate
planning, estate and trust administration, corporate formation and planning,
non-profit entity creation and planning, Federal estate and gift tax and State
estate tax planning, and other related practice areas, with individuals,
families, non-profit organizations and small businesses. His practice includes consultation on
revocable trusts, wills, life insurance trusts, personal residence trusts,
retirement plan distributions, charitable trusts, grantor retained annuity
trusts, pre-marital and post-marital agreements, international wealth transfer
transactions, simple and complicated estate and gift tax issues, and other
issues relating to the transfer of wealth.
He serves clients throughout the Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C.
area and also advises many clients in other areas of the United States and
several foreign countries.
